While most word processors have spellcheckers, the big difference between them and Aurora is that they are designed for average people who make a few common spelling mistakes, they aren't designed for very creative spellers. Aurora is designed to help such people, it knows about sight errors such as confusing b/d/p/q (all the same letter with the leg pointing in a different direction,) it knows about transposing letters, phonetic spelling, leaving letters out, only using vowels or consonants, and many more common spelling problems.
Aurora's spellchecker can also read and spell each suggestion aloud to help you select the right word. If you can't find the word you need, you can have it offer you more suggestions. You can even customize the spellchecker to your specific problem areas so that it provides the best suggestions possible for you. For many words it can also display definitions and usage examples.
You also have the option of having all the spelling corrections you make logged to a file. You can then use it as a spelling list to work on, or you can bring the log back into Aurora Prediction using the dictionary editor and have all those spelling corrections turned into automatic corrections so that you never have to correct them manually again.
