Aurora for Windows now supports the Arkenstone SSIL standard speech synthesizer driver interface for most speech synthesizers. Aurora for Windows supports version 1.91 of that specification, and may or may not support other versions. You must have a SSIL compatible speech Synthesizer and device driver installed for this driver to work.
Aurora Systems Inc. thanks Arkenstone for developing and supporting the SSIL standard. However, since Aurora does not own the SSIL standard and samples of all of the hardware that it supports, it is impossible for us to test all of the included drivers. Also, our ability to support these drivers is limited to what help we can get from Arkenstone and the hardware manufacturers. If you find you have problems, please let us know and we will do what we can to help fix the problem, however we cannot guarantee we will be able to help.
