Phonetic Word Prediction
With other word prediction programs, if you can't spell a word correctly, the word prediction won't
make any suggestions. Back in 1995, Aurora introduced our first phonetic word prediction algorithm
which attempts to guess what you are typing even if you are spelling the word incorrectly. This is a real advantage
for phonetic spellers since they have the option to work interactively with the word prediction software to work
out the correct spellings for words as they work. Aurora Suite contains our second generation phonetic word prediction,
and we are hard at work on new advances.
This example shows the user getting help typing the word "receive." Aurora displays phonetically
similar words in blue and identically spelled words in black. Since there are over 100,000 words in
some of our vocabularies, the color cue lets you know at a glance whether or not you are spelling your
word correctly.
